Description :
The Vadzo InnoWave-521CRS is a 5.1MP color camera built on the Onsemi AR0521 CMOS sensor, engineered for strong low-light performance using 2.2 µm backside-illuminated pixels. It delivers full HD capture at up to 60 fps with a rolling shutter readout and line-interleaved HDR processing for high-contrast scenes, connecting over either wired GigE or wireless Dual Band Wi-Fi with seamless switching and fallback between the two. Power is delivered via PoE over the GigE connection. Beyond the core imaging pipeline, the camera adds practical deployment tools: an on-board SD card for local storage when the network drops, NTP sync for consistent timestamps across multi-camera setups, and a customizable IR-LED board for extended night imaging. Integrators can control the camera through GPIO, a documented API, or standard GStreamer and V4L2 interfaces, with interchangeable S-mount optics to match the lens to the deployment.

What sensor powers the InnoWave-521CRS?
The Onsemi AR0521 is a 5.1 MP 1/2.5" CMOS sensor with 2.2 µm backside-illuminated pixels, purpose-built for surveillance, HDR imaging, and low-light performance.
What are the video formats supported by the camera?
H.264, H.265, and MJPEG. These compressed formats let the camera's full 5.1 MP output stream efficiently over GigE or Wi-Fi without demanding excessive bandwidth, while still preserving the detail the AR0521 sensor captures.
Does the camera have both GigE and Wi-Fi built in?
Yes. Both interfaces are present on the camera, with seamless switching and fallback between them, and GigE operates as the default when both are connected.
How is the camera powered?
Power is delivered via PoE (802.3af) over the GigE connection. Wi-Fi is used for connectivity, but the GigE cable must remain connected to supply power.
Can I change the lens on this camera?
Yes. It uses an interchangeable S-Mount (M12) lens, so you can swap lenses to suit different fields of view.
Does the camera support external triggering?
Yes, a GPIO connector is available for external trigger input and synchronization with other equipment.
Is there an API available to control the camera programmatically?
Yes. The camera includes a documented API with Swagger support, enabling direct programmatic control and easy integration into custom applications.
Does the camera support GStreamer and V4L2 controls?
Yes. The camera supports GStreamer and V4L2 controls for video streaming and camera control.
Does the camera support an IR-LED board?
Yes, available as a customizable option. Paired with the AR0521's backside-illuminated pixel design and superior low-light performance, an IR-LED board extends usable imaging into near-total darkness, where ambient light alone would fall short even for this sensor.
What time sync does the camera support?
The camera supports NTP (Network Time Protocol) sync, keeping timestamps accurate and consistent across multiple cameras on the same network, which is useful for correlating footage in multi-camera surveillance or fleet deployments.
