Description :
Vadzo Innova-234CGA is a Global Shutter Ethernet Camera based on the Onsemi AR0234 Sensor coupled with a high-performance ISP and an integrated autofocus lens module. This Gigabit Ethernet Camera delivers a max resolution of 2MP and video streaming of 1080p, 720p and VGA, with autofocus keeping the subject sharp as working distance changes rather than relying on a fixed focus lens. This reliable Ethernet Camera is ideal for applications such as Smart Surveillance Camera, Patient Monitoring Camera, Mobile Robot Camera, etc.
The camera streams video over a Gigabit Ethernet interface with ONVIF compliance, giving system integrators a standardized way to discover, configure and control the camera from network video management platforms. A standard RJ45 connector carries both data and power when the camera is run Power over Ethernet, following the PoE 802.3af standard, which removes the need for a separate power cable at the installation site. Built around VCM Based M12 lens Autofocus, interface with A GPIO connector and support for ONVIF Profile S and Profile T, with additional Profile G capability, round out the connectivity options for integrators building networked vision systems.
An industrial operating temperature range supports dependable performance across demanding indoor and outdoor deployments. The camera is compatible with Windows and Linux host systems, and it supports on-camera H.264 and H.265 video encoding along with JPEG still capture, giving integrators flexibility when building recording, monitoring or analytics pipelines around the camera.

What image sensor is used in this camera module?
The camera is built around the Onsemi AR0234CS, a 2.3MP CMOS sensor with true Global Shutter capture, a 3.0 µm pixel size and a 1/2.6" optical format.
What are the video formats supported by the camera?
The AR0234 sensor captures the whole image in one instant instead of scanning it line by line. This keeps images sharp even when the subject is moving. It also handles low light well and keeps noise low, so colors stay clean and accurate in every frame.
Why does Global Shutter matter for machine vision and surveillance applications?
Global Shutter sensors expose every pixel in the frame at the same instant, so moving subjects are captured without the skew, wobble or partial exposure artifacts that rolling shutter sensors can introduce. This makes the camera well suited to tracking fast moving people, vehicles, or equipment across a networked video system.
How do I integrate a color GigE camera into a machine vision system?
Just connect the camera to your network using an Ethernet cable, the same way you would connect to any network camera. It can even get its power from that same cable through PoE. Most vision software can find and set up the camera automatically since it supports ONVIF. If you need the camera to start recording at an exact moment, you can trigger it using the GPIO connector.
What are the advantages of a Global Shutter color camera for high-speed inspection?
When objects move fast, a regular camera can produce blurry or distorted images. A Global Shutter camera captures the entire image at once, so fast-moving parts still look sharp and correctly shaped. This makes it easier to check color, size, or alignment accurately on a moving line.
What video and image formats do the camera support?
The camera streams H.264 and H.265 encoded video and supports JPEG still image capture, giving integrators flexibility when building recording or analytics pipelines around the camera.
Does the camera support Power over Ethernet?
Yes. The camera can be powered through a single RJ45 cable using PoE that follows the 802.3af standard, removing the need for a separate power run at the installation site. Ask your Vadzo contact to confirm the supported voltage range for this build.
What network standards does the camera support?
The camera is ONVIF compliant, supporting ONVIF Profile S and Profile T, with additional capability for ONVIF Profile G, so it integrates directly with standard network video management systems.
Does Vadzo provide an SDK for building custom applications with this camera?
Yes. Vadzo provides an SDK with sample code to help you build your own software around this camera. It covers things like viewing the video stream and changing camera settings. Reach out to the Vadzo team to get the SDK for your platform.
Does the camera include GPIO for external triggering or integration?
Yes. A GPIO connector is available for external trigger input and general-purpose input output integration alongside the Ethernet connection.
