Getting Started with Driver Integration
Vadzo MIPI cameras are designed for seamless integration with embedded platforms through platform-specific driver packages. Unlike UVC cameras, MIPI CSI-2 cameras operate at the kernel level and are configured via V4L2-compliant Linux drivers and device tree overlays. Vadzo provides ready-to-use driver support for popular platforms including Raspberry Pi, NXP i.MX, NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano, Xavier NX and Orin NX, ensuring quick and reliable camera bringup.

What is the maximum resolution the camera can support?
The camera can support a maximum resolution of 20MP.
What are the video formats supported by the camera?
The Bolt-2020BRS outputs 8-bit RAW Bayer video data over the MIPI CSI-2 interface. The data is transmitted directly from the sensor without ISP processing, allowing full control over image tuning and processing at the host processor level.
What are the image formats supported by the camera?
The camera provides still image capture in 8-bit RAW Bayer format. To generate standard color images (RGB/YUV), external image processing such as demosaicing and color correction must be applied on the host system.
Does the camera come with lens?
Yes. Our camera samples are shipped with our default M12/S-Mount lens that supports field of view of 74DFOV. For volume procurement, our sales team can assist you with the purchase with lens or without lens.
Can I replace the lens with any lens of my choice?
Yes. The camera comes with a standard M12/S-Mount Lens Holder. You shall be able to integrate any S-Mount lens of your choice. However, you need to consider the compatibility in terms of image sensor format and FOV. There are cases where your lens might require additional LSC Corrections or Vignetting Corrections. In such cases, feel free to reach Vadzo Support Team.
Does the camera have an adapter board?
Yes. The MIPI camera is a 2-board solution. The camera board comprises of all the aspects required for the camera to function. Vadzo provides the adapter board to facilitate the connector interface required to integrate with either 4-Lane MIPI Connector or 2-Lane MIPI Connector.
Does the camera come with drivers?
The camera module is integrated with Raspberry PI platform. We have also integrated the camera with selective Nvidia SOMs. Should you want to driver support for other platforms such as NXP IMX, STM, MediaTek, please feel free to reach Vadzo Support. We can assist you with driver porting.
Are there any Minimum Order Quantities for the camera?
No. There are no Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) restrictions for the camera. Our sales team can help you with the purchase process for any volume that suits you.
